Nando De Colo scored a career-high 41 points (10/13 2-pointers, 18/19 free throws) and grabbed nine rebounds leading CSKA Moscow to a 116 – 110 overtime win over Avtodor Saratov in VTB League.
Thanks to Trae Golden (30 points, 11 assists) and Perrin Bufford (23 points, five rebounds), Saratov was up by 18 points with 8:44 remaining and close to a major upset. But CSKA made the comeback and Will Clyburn (17 points, five rebounds) forced the extra period with a dunk.
CSKA sealed the win in overtime after an unsportsmanlike foul on De Colo with the score 111 – 113 and 22 seconds left. Four free throws by the French guard closed the game and the “Army Men” improved to 19 – 3 to remain the standings leaders.
Ninth-placed Saratov dropped to 8 – 13.
