Khimki Moscow star Alexey Shved will miss the rest of the VTB League Finals, the club announced. The Russian guard was diagnosed with an aggravated plantar fasciitis injury Thursday (6/6).
Shved’s recovery will take about three to four weeks and is thus ruled out for the rest of the series against CSKA Moscow. He played in the Game 1 loss through pain and with the help of injections, finishing with 30 points and six assists.
Game 2 of the best-of-five series takes place at CSKA Friday (7/6).
