Orlando Johnson recently moved to Avtodor Saratov and is back in the VTB League after spending the previous seasons between the NBA G-League (Austin Spurs), Lebanon (Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut), ABA League (Igokea) and Taiwan (Pauian).
In Avtodor, he will be reunited with coach Evgeny Pashutin, with whom he worked with in Unics Kazan back in the 2016-17 season.
Johnson, 30, is more than excited to return to Russia, as he commented on Avtodor’s website.
“I’m looking forward to competing with Avtodor reuniting with my coach Evgeny Pashutin, playing at a high level such as the VTB League and getting wins. I’m motivated to make this one of my best seasons as a pro,” said the American shooting guard/small forward.
At the same time, Avtodor looks to also make the most of next season and make up for finishing in the 11th spot in the previous campaign, while they also compete at the FIBA Europe Cup.
