Ettore Messina’s AX Armani Exchange Milan traveled to Kaliningrad for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague clash against the coach’s former team CSKA.
Messina was inducted into the first VTB League Hall of Fame class back in February 2019 along with two other coaches and seven players.
At the time of induction, the Italian expert was the most decorated coach not currently working in the VTB United League. Messina won two championships during his three-year stint with CSKA (2013, 2014) and was one of two League coaches (along with Dimitris Itoudis) with a plus .800 winning percentage in 50 or more games.
