Shawn James is leaving Bilbao and heading for Olympiacos. There’s a deal between all interested parties and only the medical exams remain in order for the player to sign with the Reds.
James is not expected to play in the game against Fuenlabrada and the Spanish team neads to sign an other player in his place. As for Olympiacos, they have agreed to pay the 20.000 euros buy out and they believe that James, who had already a great start in the season, can be the right fit for the team, replacing injured Patrick Young until the end of the season.
UPDATE: In today’s press conference at Bilbao, coach Sito Alonso confirmed the deal: “The absence of Shawn James is final. We are pleased with the work he has done. We knew the type of signing that we made and now in the next 48 hours we will have a replacement”.
