Well if that is a preview for where the ABA League playoffs are headed, expect some pretty wild things happening. And that is because right from the first semifinal Mega Leks “stole” the home court advantage from Buducnost’s hands, by taking the 85 – 81 road victory in Podgorica.
It was a fierce battle that was decided in the very last seconds… from the free throw line. With the score 80 – 83 Omar Cook of Buducnost won a rather questionable foul in a three-point attempt but only made 1/3 of his shots. But when Nikola Ivanovic from Mega Leks was then fouled, he was accurate in both of his own, and his team celebrated in the end.
20-year old Rade Zagorac shined for Mega Leks, scoring 27 points, grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing 4 assists for a blinding number of 40 in the evaluation system. Apart from his key free throws, Nikola Ivanovic also provided the Serbian team with lots of help, since he finished the game an impressive double/double of 11 points and 12 assists.
With his 26 points and 4 assists, Julius Jenkins was the best Buducnost had to offer.
