After four years in Alba Berlin, Sasa Obradovic will no longer be the coach of the team in the upcoming season. As the club officially announced, the expiring contract with the Serbian coach Sasa Obradovic wont be renewed and the two sides will part ways.
As head coach of the “Albatrosses”, Obradovic had won three German Cup titles in 2013, 2014 and 2016, while leading the team one victory away from the Euroleague playoffs in 2015.
Latvian Ainars Bagatskis, who last coached Nizhny Novgorod, is rumored to be a favorite to sit at the bench of Alba Berlin.
Dario Gjergja, Oostende’s coach, is with Bagatskis the main target for ALBA Berlín Head Coach position
