Pini Gherson confirmed that he is in talks with Panathinaikos in order to become the coach of the Greek finalists for next season.
Speaking on live television on “Sport5” after the last Israeli playoffs game Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Rishon Le Zion, during which he was a commentator, the veteran coach said: “Every coach that would go to Panathinaikos will find it’s hard now without Diamantidis, in the meantime I’m here. Things are not yet finalized, Panathinaikos is one of the options I have, hopefully someone there wants me”.
It remains to be seen, if there will be a deal between the two sides, as it’s expected.
