With a 71 – 69 victory, Maccabi Rishon beat Maccabi Tel Aviv and advanced to the Winner League Final. Α lay-up by Darryl Monroe decided the final outcome that sent his team to the battle for the title for second time in the club’s history.
Monroe paced the winners with 20 points while Mark Lyons added 19.
Taylor Rochestie and Guy Pnini tried to keep their team alive after Monroe’s basket but both missed their attempts. The American guard was the “Yellows'” top scorer with 20 points.
Thus, another disappointing season for Maccabi Tel Aviv reached its end. Quite possibly the worst year for the Israeli powerhouse, considering their early elimination from Euroleague and Eurocup, plus being left out of the Final for a second consecutive year.
