Earlier, Gran Canaria confirmed via an announcement, that they reached an agreement with Alen Omic and Anadolu Efes to terminate the player’s existing contract so that he can move to to the Turkish team. Now, Efes officially announced the addition of Alen Omic.
The Slovenian center had a brilliant season with Gran Canaria, averaging 14 points and 7.6 rebounds in Eurocup, helping the team reach the competition’s semifinals, while making the All- Eurocup First team. He finished the year in Liga Endesa with 12.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
Omic becomes the first major summer signing of Anadolu Efes, after Velimir Perasovic, the team’s new head coach.
