Zoran Dragic is now officially a player of Olimpia Armani Milano. The Slovenian guard had parted ways with Khimki Moscow after a mutual agreement between the two sides.

Zoran Dragic is now officially a player of Olimpia Armani Milano. The Slovenian guard had parted ways with Khimki Moscow after a mutual agreement between the two sides.

Pallacanestro Olimpia EA7 – Emporio Armani Milano agreed on terms with Zoran Dragic, guard-forward, 1.96, 27 , born in Ljublijana on June, 22, 1989, Slovenja, coming from Khimki Moscow.

WHO’S DRAGIC– Zoran Dragic grew up in Ilirija, before moving to Jance STZ Ljubljana in 2005. After one more season, he was acquired by Geoplin Slovan and stayed there until 2010.Then next move was to go to Krka Novo Mesto. In two years he won two Slovenian championships and the Eurochallenge in 2011. In 2012 he was signed by Unicaja Malaga and for one season he was coached by Jasmin Repesa. In his second season he was also named Euroleague Players of the Week once. That season he averaged 10.9 points per game, while converting 35.4% of his three-point shots (he averaged 10.3 points per game in Spain). After his second season in Malaga, he moved to the NBA, signed by the Phoenix Suns where he played alongside his brother Goran. They were traded mid-season together to the Miami Heat. He spent one year in the NBA playing 16 games. After an another trade, this time to the Boston Celtics, he was realeased and signed with Khimki Moscow. During the last Euroleague season he averaged 8.0 points per game, converting 33.8% of his three-point shots.

NOTES – He played for all the Slovenian Youth National teams. He also has taken part in three European championships and the 2014 World Cup. During the 2015 European Championships he averaged 15.5 points per game and had 3.5 rebounds. In the World Cup he had 12.9 points per game and 4.0 rebounds.
