The ongoing saga of Kenny Gabriel’s summer took an other turn with Maccabi Tel Aviv entering the race to sign him and Olympiacos staying out, while the Israelis are also interested about Shane Lawal of Barcelona.
While Lokomotiv Kuban made to Gabriel a great new offer on Monday after already having advanced negotiations from Sunday, Maccabi which is searching for a replacement of injured Quincy Miller made also its move. On the other hand Olympiacos is not eager to enter a bidding war and the Greeks’ offer is no longer on the table.
Meanwhile, with Shane Lawal’s place in Barcelona in danger, Maccabi Tel Aviv is examining the possibility of adding him in its roster, which is missing an athletic big man, after the release of Trevor Mbakwe.
