Panathinaikos‘ roster is not complete yet and the Greens are in talks with former CSKA Moscow member Demetris Nichols. The free agent forward who won the Euroleague with the Moscow club remains a free agent.
The player was also examined by Olympiacos, still the Greens have demonstrated a real interest for him during the last days and the deal between them is possible.
With his addition, Panathinaikos will have six non Greek players, as many as the Greek league rules permit for each team. However, after the recent rules changes, two of those players will not be able to be used in the first round of the Greek league, because until then two of the six “foreigners” must have an EU passport.
The 32 years old player with his experience can help the Greeks who are trying to fortify their front line. As Eurohoops can confirm the two sides are in constant contact during the last days. SDNA.gr first reported the advanced interest of the Greens for the players.
