No rest for the wicked-ly good. Only few days after their spectacular victory over Oklahoma Thunder in overtime, you would have thought that Real Madrid would be tired for the Liga Endesa road game vs Valencia.
On the contrary, Pablo Laso’s players were packed with energy, winning 94 – 75 by playing exceptional basketball, particularly in the third quarter of the game.
It was then, that Real Madrid dropped 34 (!) points on Valencia while receiving only 18, thus managing to enter the final period with a 76 – 54 lead.
The home team tried to avert the difficult situation it was deep in, making it a 13-point game 63 – 76, with six minutes to go. It wasn’t enough, since the Madridistas reacted properly.
Sergio Llull took it from where he left it in the fantastic performance vs the Thunder, scoring 18 points and dishing 8 assists. In the meantime, he also became the all-time assists leader his team in Liga Endesa.
Rudy Fernandez finished the match with 17 points while Gustavo Ayon had 12.
