After clinching its first Euroleague victory in the season (vs Darussafaka Dogus), Anadolu Efes proceeded to make the keep its unscathed record in the Turkish League by defeating Usak Sportif 86 – 73 at home.
The main figure for the winning side had the form of no other than Thomas Heurtel. Not only did the French play-maker delivered a sweet double-double of 20 points/11 assists, but also sank two key back-to-back three-pointers in the last minutes to transform the 77 – 71 into 83 – 71, sealing the fate of the game in favor of his team.
He wasn’t playing alone of course as Tyler Honeycutt (16 points, 6 rebounds), Derrick Brown (12 points, 5 rebounds), Bryant Dunston (10 points, 9 rebouns) and Cedi Osman (10 points) also dropped double-digit numbers for Efes‘ offense.
Usak went out of solutions during crunch time and Mark Lyons’ (22 points, 5 rebounds) along with Darryl Monroe’ (15 points, 13 rebounds) were not enough for the guests.
