With Maccabi not doing as expected in Euroleague, change is soon coming in the head coach position. Zvi Sherf is close to signing with the team again, while Rami Hadar’s time in the team is running short.
Sherf’s connection with the Israeli team is a long-term one, as he began his playing career in Maccabi‘s youth team. By age 20, he became the head coach of it!
The 62-year-old coach has spent several periods of his career in the Yellow and Blue team: 1983-1987, 1988-1989, 1990-1992, 1996-1997, 2007-2008 and has won 10 league championships and 6 Israeli Cups, while he has also been to 3 Euroleague championship finals with the team.
