Despite the rumors about Mantas Kalnietis being a target of clubs like Galatasaray, things couldn’t be more different. According to Eurohoops sources the Lithuanian guard and the Italian champions are negotiating the extension of his contract.
Kalnietis’ current deal expires at the end of this season, but both sides want to continue their collaboration beyond the summer of 2017. In the meantime, the decision to loan Alessandro Gentile to Panathinaikos does not mean that the club is throwing the towel. On the contrary the Italians are still targeting the Euroleague playoffs which remain one of their main goals.
Kalnietis, since the day he was added to the roster, is one of the stand outs of the team and the two sides are already near a new deal about the extension of his stay in Milan.
