Dimitris Priftis’ work on the bench of Aris BC made him a candidate for the bench of Banvit. After the offer by Alba Berlin, the Turkish club also knocked on his door.
Like Aris, Banvit is expected to play in the upcoming FIBA Champions League, but the money that the Turkish club offers is almost three times the salary he had this season in Greece.
It remains to be seen how things will turn out, since Priftis is undecided yet and Aris is also ready to make him a counter offer with hefty raise in order to keep him in Thessaloniki.
Priftis is credited with the solid performance of its team under a very stricked budget, the challenge both in Turkey and Germany are more than interesting, but it seems that he is not eager to leave Greece. That can be a key factor in the negotiations provided that Aris is ready to give him a contract if not similar, then at least near the offers that he has on his hands.
