Young 3-4 position in the making (24 years old, 2m03), the Senegalese International Mbaye Ndiaye arrives from Blois and becomes the first recruit of the 2023-2024 workforce of LDLC ASVEL.
Trained in Bourg-en-Bresse, he was the major player in Espoirs, accumulating a few appearances with the professional team from 2019. But it was with ADA Blois that his progress was meteoric. Performing well for two years in Pro B, he again passed a milestone last season in Betclic ELITE (10.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 blocks for 15.4 evaluation in 29.7 minutes).
A key player in keeping his club in the top flight, Mbaye joins ASVEL for the next three seasons with his energy, enormous physical qualities and great determination to further expand his palette and gain experience.
“Mbaye has very strong athletic qualities. He is tough in defense, attracted by the offensive rebound and has a very interesting off-the-ball game. It’s a profile that we didn’t have last season. We see that each season, he is improving, in the statistical lines as well as in understanding the game and we are going to accompany him to ensure that this continues“, said T.J. Parker, coach of ASVEL.
